Abstract To achieve a certain visual quality or acceptable surface appearance in injection-molded components, higher mold temperature is needed. In order to this, injection molds can be dynamically tempered by integrating an active heating and cooling process inside the halves. This of halves becomes more efficient when change occurs closer surface. Complex channels that carry cold hot liquids manufactured close using layer principle additive manufacturing. Laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF), as manufacturing process, has special advantages; particular, so-called hybrid tools manufactured. For example, complex tool inserts with conformal additively built on simple, machined baseplates. paper outlines thermal simulation carried out optimize molding use dynamic cooling. Based results this simulation, was designed maraging steel (1.2709) then experimentally tested.
